Copyright Policy

Copyright and publication rights for articles published in the African Journal of Economic Transformation and Development (AJETD) shall be governed by the journal’s publication agreement.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that manuscripts submitted to the journal do not infringe the copyright, intellectual property or other rights of third parties.

Authors must obtain permission to reproduce copyrighted material where such permission is required.

The journal will clearly identify the copyright holder and applicable licensing terms for each published article.

Open-Access Policy

AJETD supports broad and equitable access to scholarly research and intends to make published research available online to researchers, students, policymakers and other interested readers.

Unless otherwise stated for a particular article, published articles may be freely accessed and read through the journal’s official website, subject to the applicable copyright and licensing terms.

Where the journal adopts a Creative Commons licence, the specific licence applicable to published articles will be clearly displayed on the article and journal website.

The journal’s open-access policy applies to the online edition and does not affect the availability of the journal in its printed format.

Author Rights

Authors retain the rights granted to them under the journal’s publication agreement and applicable copyright law.

Authors may use their published work for legitimate academic and educational purposes in accordance with the applicable licence and publication agreement.
