The African Journal of Economic Transformation and Development (AJETD) is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by African Academic Imprint Press. The journal is committed to publishing high-quality, original and policy-relevant research that contributes to knowledge on economic transformation and development in Africa.

AJETD welcomes theoretical, empirical, methodological, comparative and interdisciplinary studies that fall within the journal’s stated scope.

The journal maintains editorial independence in the evaluation and publication of manuscripts. Editorial decisions are based primarily on the scholarly quality, originality, relevance, methodological soundness, clarity and contribution of submitted manuscripts.

All manuscripts are subject to an initial editorial assessment to determine their suitability for the journal. Manuscripts that meet the journal’s basic requirements may be sent for peer review. The Editor-in-Chief, in consultation with the editorial team where necessary, is responsible for the final publication decision.

The journal does not discriminate against authors on the basis of nationality, institutional affiliation, gender, ethnicity, religion, political opinion or other irrelevant personal characteristics. Editorial decisions are based on academic merit and the relevance of the manuscript to the journal.
